Two minutes into the first episode of CCAB’s new podcast, the hosts make a confession: neither of them is human.
This is the first of three episodes we’ve produced for CCAB, which brings together the UK and Ireland’s leading accountancy bodies. The series was created using AI from script to studio, with every case study quality-assured by the human experts of CCAB’s Ethics Group. AI doing the work, responsible humans in the loop — and, as you’ll hear, that is rather the point.
An episode about trusting AI, made with AI
The episode asks a question a lot of finance professionals are now facing: how much should you trust AI when the stakes are high? It plays out through two very plausible scenarios — a CFO leaning on a free AI tool to write a board strategy, and a government system recommending cuts to a community health programme — and shows how quickly the fundamental principles of professional ethics come into play.
The takeaway is a clear one. AI is a tool. You are the professional. The judgement stays with you, and so does the responsibility.
Practising what we preach
Earlier this year we published our own AI Manifesto: human creativity leads, people stay accountable, and client trust beats speed, every time. This series is that thinking put to work — AI moving fast, with named experts standing behind every claim before it reaches your ears.
